Volunteer Role Descriptions
Below is a list of volunteer opportunities available. Please review the descriptions and select the role that best aligns with your skills and interests.
Career Counseling: Support individuals in identifying career paths, setting goals, and developing job-readiness skills through personalized guidance and resources. Clerical Assistant: Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, scheduling, and document preparation to support daily operations. Dance Teacher: Lead dance curriculum, lessons, supplies, events, video tapings, and member development. Email Marketing: Support our mission by creating and optimizing email campaigns that engage supporters, raise awareness, and drive impact. Employment Counseling: Provide individualized career guidance, skill-building support, and group workshops to help diverse university students develop job readiness, plan their futures, and connect with campus and community resources. Event Coordinator: Plan and manage events, coordinate vendors, train staff, and ensure full compliance. Flyer and Marketing Assistant: Design and distribute branded flyers and posters that effectively promote volunteer opportunities and community events. Food Distribution: Provides customers with the appropriate food and ensures a clean station. Guest Speaker: Shares insights, inspires participants, and leads short talks during Dinner Club workshops and events. Life Support Coach: Provides guidance and support to help individuals set goals, overcome challenges, and achieve personal growth through active listening and motivation. Marketing Manager: Leads local and digital marketing initiatives, content development, and community outreach to expand awareness. Marketing Program Coordinator: Helps manage marketing materials, social media platforms, branding, and assists with website updates or other marketing‑related duties. Program Assistant: Supports youth programs that promote academic success, health, and character development. Social Media Manager: Manages social media content, engagement, and strategy to amplify the agency's mission in mental health advocacy. Story Teller: Reads aloud with warmth, creativity, and patience; engages young children through expressive storytelling. Storytelling Volunteer: Good reading and communication skills, daycares, and foster care agencies in West Phila. Tutor: Provide personalized academic support to all ages and learning styles. Volunteer Manager: Leads volunteer program strategy, recruitment, training, and coordination to ensure impactful service delivery and strong alignment with organizational needs. Youth Mentor: Support and empower youth through one-on-one mentoring, group workshops, and community engagement to promote personal, academic, and social growth. |
